The Derbyshire Walking Football League, the oldest walking football league in the UK, are proud to announce their involvement in the newly formed Walking Football Leagues Alliance. The alliance promises to be a positive and constructive organisation enabling a platform for leagues to share problems, solutions, thoughts, ideas, procedures, resources and of course mutual respect and cooperation going forward.
The Derbyshire Walking Football League Challenge Cup, an inclusive cup for all DWFL league teams from all age categories, has reached it’s quarter final stage.
It’s a strong line up with 6 of the top teams from the 50s section – Derby Old Rams, Etwall, Heanor E, Melbourne, Old Sawley and Stanton – and top sides from the 60’s section – Ashbourne and Matlock.
